Leeward Charitable Foundation is coming up on our 10 year anniversary. Leeward opened its Leeward Landing Thrift Store in York, ME on February 14, 2009. Over this time we have raised $2.5 million dollars, that has since been donated to local food pantries, home heating assistance programs and scholarships in Essex County, MA and York County, ME.

Since February of 2009, together, we have fed, clothed and comforted thousands of our neighbors in need. We couldn’t have done it without YOU! MANY HEARTFELT THANKS!

Long time Leeward volunteer, Edna, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Monday November 26, 2018.

Edna truly had a heart of gold. She was loved and admired by all of her coworkers. She not only will be missed by her Leeward family, but by her community as well- for all the good and kindness she spread during her lifetime in the Salisbury area.

We send our sympathy to her daughter Jeanne, her husband and her sons, and to her dear friends Dennis and Anne Champagne.

THRIFT STORE UPDATE

Please bear with us as we make a couple changes at our thrift stores. We will be installing digital displays on the walls behind our cash registers.
